The deepest X-ray view of a kiloparsec scale jet at z=6.1
Fabio A. Meanti, Luca Ighina, Alberto Moretti +7
The mechanism responsible for the high-energy emission observed in kiloparsec-scale jets across cosmic time remains poorly understood. The relativistic jet associated with the z=6.…
The Advanced X-ray Imaging Satellite (AXIS) Community Science Book
Michael Koss, Nafisa Aftab, Steven W. Allen +395
The AXIS Community Science Book represents the collective effort of 592 scientists worldwide to define the transformative science enabled by the Advanced X-ray Imaging Satellite (A…
The High Energy X-ray Probe (HEX-P): Bringing the Cosmic X-ray Background into Focus
Francesca Civano, Xiurui Zhao, Peter Boorman +29
Since the discovery of the cosmic X-ray background (CXB), astronomers have strived to understand the accreting supermassive black holes (SMBHs) contributing to its peak in the 10-4…
The High Energy X-ray Probe (HEX-P): the most powerful jets through the lens of a superb X-ray eye
Lea Marcotulli, Marco Ajello, Markus Böttcher +20
A fraction of the active supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies in our Universe are capable of launching extreme kiloparsec-long relativistic jets. These jets are know…
