Generating quantum entanglement from sunlight
Cheng Li, Jasvinder Brar, Michael Küblböck +3
Energy consumption is becoming a serious bottleneck for integrating quantum technologies within the existing global information infrastructure. In photonic architectures, considera…
All-optical turbulence mitigation for free-space quantum key distribution using stimulated parametric down-conversion
Aaron A. Aguilar-Cardoso, Cheng Li, Tobey J. B. Luck +4
In this work, we propose and demonstrate a turbulence-resilient scheme for free-space quantum communication. By leveraging the phase conjugation property of stimulated parametric d…
Violation of local realism with spatially multimode parametric down-conversion pumped by spatially incoherent light
Cheng Li, Jeremy Upham, Boris Braverman +1
We experimentally demonstrate a violation of local realism with highly spatially multimode polarization-entangled two-photon states produced by spontaneous parametric down-conversi…
Full-field mapping of spatially varying polarization entanglement generated from spontaneous parametric down-conversion
Cheng Li, Girish Kulkarni, Isaac Soward +6
Two-photon states generated from spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) can display entanglement in all degrees of freedom (DoFs) of light, including spatial, temporal, and…
