Midinfrared Semiconductor Photonics - A Roadmap
J. R. Meyer, I. Vurgaftman, S. -Q. Yu +56
Semiconductor photonic devices operating in the midwave infrared (mid-IR, which we roughly define here as wavelengths spanning 3 to 14 microns) uniquely address a wide range of cur…
Incubating Advances in Integrated Photonics with Emerging Sensing and Computational Capabilities
Sourabh Jain, May Hlaing, Kang Chieh Fan +6
As photonic technologies continue to grow in multidimensional aspects, integrated photonics holds a unique position and continuously presents enormous possibilities to research com…
Integrated multi-operand optical neurons for scalable and hardware-efficient deep learning
Chenghao Feng, Jiaqi Gu, Hanqing Zhu +7
The optical neural network (ONN) is a promising hardware platform for next-generation neuromorphic computing due to its high parallelism, low latency, and low energy consumption. H…
Lab-on-a-Chip Optical Biosensor Platform: Micro Ring Resonator Integrated with Near-Infrared Fourier Transform Spectrometer
Kyoung Min Yoo, May Hlaing, Sourabh Jain +3
A micro-ring-resonator (MRR) optical biosensor based on the evanescent field sensing mechanism has been extensively studied due to its high sensitivity and compact device size. How…
