Dynamics of actions of automorphisms on the space of one-parameter subgroups of a torus and applications
Debamita Chatterjee, Himanshu Lekharu, Riddhi Shah
For a connected Lie group , we study the dynamics of actions of automorphisms of on certain compact invariant subspaces of closed subgroups of in terms of distality and…
Twisted conjugacy classes in Lie groups
Ravi Prakash, Riddhi Shah
We consider twisted conjugacy classes of continuous automorphisms of a Lie group . We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition on for its Reidemeister number, the num…
On the almost algebraicity of groups of automorphisms of connected Lie groups
S. G. Dani, Riddhi Shah
Let be a connected Lie group, be the maximal compact connected subgroup of the center of , and let denote the group of Lie automorphisms of , viewed, c…
Characterisation of distal actions of automorphisms on the space of one-parameter subgroups of Lie groups
Debamita Chatterjee, Riddhi Shah
For a connected Lie group and an automorphism of , we consider the action of on Sub, the compact space of closed subgroups of endowed with the Chabauty topol…
Cartan subgroups in connected locally compact groups
Arunava Mandal, Riddhi Shah
We define Cartan subgroups in connected locally compact groups, which extends the classical notion of Cartan subgroups in Lie groups. We prove their existence and justify our choic…
