One-shot entanglement generation and distillation via Petz recovery and binary hypothesis testing
Matthew Can, Mark M. Wilde
How much entanglement can two distant laboratories share when their connection is noisy? We relate this question to deciding which of two quantum hypotheses is present. Our one-sho…
Quantum simultaneous decoding via pretty-good measurements of tilted states
Mark M. Wilde
A multiple-access channel transmits messages from several senders to one receiver. For quantum outputs, the receiver must distinguish states depending on all messages, while tests…
Efficiently computable bounds on the energy-constrained quantum reading capacity
Vishal Singh, Zixin Huang, Mark M. Wilde
In quantum reading, classical messages are encoded in sequences of quantum channels and recovered by probing the channels and processing their outputs. We study the reading capacit…
Conditional contraction coefficients and their applications to quantum networks
Christoph Hirche, Ian George, Theshani Nuradha +1
Contraction coefficients quantify the loss of distinguishability induced by a channel and provide a strong form of the data-processing inequality. While standard contraction coeffi…
