GGI Lectures on Large-Scale Structure Perturbation Theory (Effective Field Theory)
Mikhail M. Ivanov
These notes are an introduction to non-linear perturbation theory for cosmological large-scale structure. They are aimed at undergraduate and beginning graduate students and do not…
Fresh Look at Neutrino Self-Interactions With the Lyman- Forest: Constraints from EFT and PRIYA Simulations
Adam He, Mikhail M. Ivanov, Simeon Bird +2
We present the first search for evidence of neutrino self-interaction with two new, state-of-the-art likelihoods for eBOSS Lyman- data. These are an effective field theory (EFT)…
Bounds on Velocity-Dependent Dark Matter-Baryon Scattering from Large-Scale Structure
Adam He, Mikhail M. Ivanov, Rui An +2
We explore interacting dark matter (DM) models that allow DM and baryons to scatter off of each other with a cross section that scales with relative particle velocity. Using the ef…
Don't miss the forest for the trees: the Lyman alpha forest power spectrum in effective field theory
Mikhail M. Ivanov
We derive an effective field theory (EFT) for cosmological Lyman alpha forest fluctuations valid for the power spectrum at the one-loop order. The ``bottom-up'' EFT expansion at th…
