A Candidate Open Cluster Pulsar: Timing Analysis of PSR J1922+3745 in NGC 6791
Xiao-Jin Liu, Ralph P. Eatough, Zhichen Pan +15
PSR J1922+3745 was recently identified as a radio pulsar toward the old open cluster NGC 6791, raising the prospect of the first pulsar associated with an open cluster. We report F…
Kinematic Evidence for Open Cluster Origins of Galactic Binary Neutron Stars
Wen-Jie Yu, Lu Zhou, Zhi-Qiang You +4
We investigate the potential birthplace of Galactic binary neutron star (BNS) systems through a kinematic analysis. Using high-precision astrometry from Gaia DR3, updated pulsar di…
A Census of Pulsars in Possible Association with Galactic Open Clusters
Lu Zhou, Zhi-Qiang You, Lu Li +3
Among the known pulsars in our Galaxy, are found in globular clusters, but none has been confirmed in any open clusters yet, although they outnumber glo…
PSR J1922+37: a 1.9-second pulsar discovered in the direction of the old open cluster NGC 6791
Xiao-Jin Liu, Rahul Sengar, Matthew Bailes +8
More than 300 pulsars have been discovered in Galactic globular clusters; however, none have been found in open clusters. Here we present results from 20-hour pulsar searching obse…
