Galaxy Mergers Collectively Illuminate the -Ray Sky
Jaya Doliya, Deep Jyoti Das, Subhadip Bouri +3
The origin and acceleration mechanism of cosmic rays (CRs) remain fundamental open questions. Galaxy mergers are proposed as very high-energy CR accelerators, which are expected to…
New constraints on from captured dark matter annihilation in astrophysical objects
Basabendu Barman, Pooja Bhattacharjee, Arindam Das
Considering dark matter capture in astrophysical objects such as neutron stars and brown dwarfs, followed by their annihilation into two neutrino and four neutrino final states, we…
Probing the Parameter Space of Axion-Like Particles Using Simulation-Based Inference
Pooja Bhattacharjee, Christopher Eckner, Gabrijela Zaharijas +2
Axion-like particles (ALPs), hypothetical pseudoscalar particles that couple to photons, are among the most actively investigated candidates for new physics beyond the Standard Mod…
Can local White Dwarfs constrain Dark Matter interactions?
Pooja Bhattacharjee, Sandra Robles, Stephan A. Meighen-Berger +1
We investigate whether nearby white dwarfs (WDs) can constrain dark matter (DM) interactions with ordinary matter. As experimental sensitivity improves, driven by the Gaia mission,…
