Phase-Aware Code-Aided EM Algorithm for Blind Channel Estimation in PSK-Modulated OFDM
Chin-Hung Chen, Ivana Nikoloska, Wim van Houtum +2
This paper presents a fully blind phase-aware expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm for OFDM systems with the phase-shift keying (PSK) modulation. We address the well-known local…
Physics-Aware Initialization Refinement in Code-Aided EM for Blind Channel Estimation
Chin-Hung Chen, Ivana Nikoloska, Wim van Houtum +2
This paper addresses the well-known local maximum problem of the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm in blind intersymbol interference (ISI) channel estimation. This problem pr…
Robust Blind Channel Estimation for Bursty Impulsive Noise with a Constrained EM Approach
Chin-Hung Chen, Ivana Nikoloska, Wim van Houtum +3
Impulsive noise (IN) commonly generated by power devices can severely degrade the performance of high sensitivity wireless receivers. Accurate channel state information (CSI) knowl…
Modified Baum-Welch Algorithm for Joint Blind Channel Estimation and Turbo Equalization
Chin-Hung Chen, Boris Karanov, Ivana Nikoloska +3
Blind estimation of intersymbol interference channels based on the Baum-Welch (BW) algorithm, a specific implementation of the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm for training…
