A Robust Strontium Tweezer Apparatus for Quantum Computing
Marijn Venderbosch, Rik van Herk, Zhichao Guo +11
Neutral atoms for quantum computing applications show promise in terms of scalability and connectivity. We demonstrate the realization of a versatile apparatus capable of stochasti…
-Enhanced Gray Molasses Cooling of Rb Atoms in Tweezers Using the D Line
Deon Janse van Rensburg, Rogier Venderbosch, Yuri van der Werf +5
We demonstrate the implementation of -enhanced gray molasses cooling on the D line of Rb atoms in an optical tweezer array. This technique yields lower atomic tempera…
Acousto-optic lens for 3D shuttling of atoms in a neutral atom quantum computer
Zhichao Guo, Rik A. H. van Herk, Edgar J. D. Vredenbregt +1
We present a novel acousto-optic lens (AOL) design for neutral atom quantum computing. This approach enhances atom rearrangement in optical tweezer arrays and addresses the speed l…
Patterned Rydberg excitation and ionisation with a spatial light modulator
R. M. W. van Bijnen, C. Ravensbergen, D. J. Bakker +3
We demonstrate the ability to excite atoms at well-defined, programmable locations in a magneto-optical trap, either to the continuum (ionisation), or to a Rydberg state. To this e…
