The MALATANG survey: star formation, dense gas, and AGN feedback in NGC 1068
Shuting Lin, Siyi Feng, Zhi-Yu Zhang +14
We aim to investigate the interplay between dense molecular gas, star formation, and active galactic nucleus (AGN) feedback in the luminous infrared galaxy (LIRG) NGC 1068 at sub-k…
The ALMA Survey of 70 μm Dark High-mass Clumps in Early Stages (ASHES). XIII. Core Mass Function, Lifetime, and Growth of Prestellar Cores
Kaho Morii, Patricio Sanhueza, Qizhou Zhang +10
The core mass function (CMF) of prestellar cores is essential for understanding the initial conditions of star and cluster formation. However, the universality of the CMF and its r…
Dense Molecular Ring-like structure in gaseous CO depletion region G34.74-0.12
Shuting Lin, Siyi Feng, Fengwei Xu +14
We report the discovery of a dense molecular ring-like structure in a dense (10 cm), cold (pc-scale CO depletion at a factor of 5), and young (10 year) star-forming…
The ALMA Survey of 70 m Dark High-mass Clumps in Early Stages (ASHES). XII. Unanchored Forked Stream in the Propagating Path of a Protostellar Outflow
Shuting Lin, Siyi Feng, Patricio Sanhueza +14
Outflows are key indicators of ongoing star formation. We report the discovery of an unanchored forked stream within the propagating path of an extremely young protostellar outflow…
