Double-hump spectrum, pulse profile dip, and pulsed fraction spectra from the low-accretion regime in the X-ray pulsar MAXI J0655-013
C. Malacaria, S. N. Pike, A. D'Aì +18
Accreting X-ray pulsars (XRPs) undergo different physical regimes depending on the mass accretion rate. Recent observations have shown a dramatic change in the emission properties…
A magnetar outburst with atypical evolution: the case of Swift J1555.2-5402
A. Borghese, F. Coti Zelati, M. Imbrogno +12
The magnetar Swift J1555.2-5402 was discovered in outburst on 2021 June 3 by the Burst Alert Telescope on board the Swift satellite. Early X-ray follow-up revealed a spin period P~…
Prospects for dark matter observations in dwarf spheroidal galaxies with the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory
K. Abe, S. Abe, J. Abhir +491
The dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) orbiting the Milky Way are widely regarded as systems supported by velocity dispersion against self-gravity, and as prime targets for the sear…
Galactic transient sources with the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory
Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory Consortium
A wide variety of Galactic sources show transient emission at soft and hard X-ray energies: low- and high-mass X-ray binaries containing compact objects, isolated neutron stars exh…
