A new likely pulsar binary in 47~Tucanae from continuum searches
Thomas J. Maccarone, Alessandro Paduano, Arash Bahramian +6
We present evidence that the X-ray source 47~Tuc~W41, long considered to be an X-ray source powered by coronal activity, is actually a redback pulsar binary. The source continually…
No evidence for accretion around the intermediate-mass black hole in Omega Centauri
Angiraben D. Mahida, Arash Bahramian, James C. A. Miller Jones +5
For over a decade, both theoretical predictions and observational studies have suggested that Centauri ( Cen), the most massive Milky Way globular cluster, might harbor an i…
Radio Continuum Studies of Ultra-Compact and Short Orbital Period X-Ray Binaries
Kristen C. Dage, Teresa Panurach, Kwangmin Oh +14
We present the radio continuum counterparts to the enigmatic ultra-compact X-ray binaries (UCXBs); a black hole or neutron star accreting from a hydrogen-deficient white dwarf dono…
Hyperbolic limit on the early arrival time of bright pulses from PSR~J08354510 (Vela)
Angiraben D. Mahida, J. L. Palfreyman, G. Molera Calves +1
Astronomers have studied the Vela pulsar (PSR~J08354510) for decades. This study analyses almost one hundred hours of single-pulse data collected over three consecutive days fro…
