Dynamical zero modes, boundary dependence, and numerical instability in dynamical quantum phase transitions
Siyan Lin, Xu Feng, Xiuhua Tian +1
Boundary conditions are usually expected to cause only finite-size corrections to bulk quantities, but this expectation can fail for dynamical quantum phase transitions. In this wo…
Critical Entanglement Dynamics at Dynamical Quantum Phase Transitions
Kaiyuan Cao, Mingzhi Li, Xiang-Ping Jiang +2
We investigate the critical behavior of momentum-space entanglement entropy at dynamical quantum phase transitions (DQPTs) in translationally invariant two-band insulators and supe…
Tunable discrete quasi-time crystal from a single drive
Xu Feng, Shuo Liu, Shu Chen +1
The search for exotic temporal orders in quantum matter, such as discrete quasi-time crystals (DQTCs), has become an important theme in nonequilibrium physics. However, realizing t…
Delocalization of skin steady states
Xu Feng, Shu Chen
The skin effect, characterized by the tendency of particles to accumulate at the boundaries, has been extensively studied in non-Hermitian systems. In this work, we propose an intu…
Boundary sensitive Lindbladians and relaxation dynamics
Xu Feng, Shu Chen
It is well known that non-Hermitian systems can be extremely sensitive to boundary conditions owing to non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE). Analogously, we investigate two boundary-se…
