JWST and HST observations of the host galaxy and supernova, SN 2024aihh in EP240801a at z=1.67
Agnes P. C. van Hoof, Andrew J. Levan, Peter G. Jonker +15
We present James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and Hubble Space Telescope (HST) observations of the counterpart of EP240801a, at z=1.67, the first fast X-ray transient (FXT) identifi…
Unveiling the nature of the Einstein Probe transient EP 241021a
J. Quirola-Vásquez, P. G. Jonker, A. J. Levan +23
We present a multi-wavelength analysis of the fast X-ray transient EP 241021a, discovered by the Wide-field X-ray Telescope aboard the \emph{Einstein Probe} satellite on 2024 Octob…
EP250207b is not a collapsar fast X-ray transient. Is it due to a compact object merger?
P. G. Jonker, A. J. Levan, Xing Liu +41
Fast X-ray Transients (FXTs) are short-lived extra-galactic X-ray sources. Recent progress through multi-wavelength follow-up of Einstein Probe discovered FXTs has shown that sever…
The infrared counterpart and proper motion of magnetar SGR0501+4516
A. A. Chrimes, A. J. Levan, J. D. Lyman +19
Soft gamma repeaters (SGRs) are highly magnetised neutron stars (magnetars) notable for their gamma-ray and X-ray outbursts. In this paper, we use near-infrared (NIR) imaging of SG…
