Observability as a constraint qualification for a nonsmooth bilevel PDE-constrained problem
Christian Clason, Alberto Domínguez Corella, Jyrki Jauhiainen
Motivated by experiment design for parameter identification in image reconstruction, we analyze a bilevel control problem involving sparse inversion at the lower level. Qualified o…
The Brøndsted-Rockafellar theorem in geodesic spaces
Alberto Domínguez Corella, Alejandro Villegas-Acuña
We present a constructive version of the Brøndsted-Rockafellar theorem in general geodesic metric spaces. Applications include a constructive form of the Caristi theorem and quanti…
On the geometry of sharp minima
Alberto Domínguez Corella
We give characterizations of sharp minimizers that emphasize their geometric properties. These include tilt invariance and weak upper gradient conditions. We relate sharp minimalit…
The maximum principle for discrete-time control systems and applications to dynamic games
Alberto Domínguez Corella, Onésimo Hernández-Lerma
We study deterministic nonstationary discrete-time optimal control problems in both finite and infinite horizon. With the aid of Gateaux differentials, we prove a discrete-time max…
