Near-limit quantum control beyond analytic tractability in many-body spin systems
Jixing Zhang, Bo Peng, Yang Wang +11
As quantum control approaches hardware-imposed performance limits, weak effects omitted by reduced models become consequential. Assumptions required for analytic tractability then…
Blueprint for Diamond Magnetometry: Unraveling Quantum Dephasing of Nitrogen-Vacancy Center Ensembles in Diamond
Jixing Zhang, Cheuk Kit Cheung, Michael Kuebler +15
Diamonds with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center ensembles are one of the most promising solid-state quantum platforms for various sensing applications. The combination of a long spin de…
Metropolitan-scale heralded entanglement of solid-state qubits
Arian J. Stolk, Kian L. van der Enden, Marie-Christine Slater +20
A key challenge towards future quantum internet technology is connecting quantum processors at metropolitan scale. Here, we report on heralded entanglement between two independentl…
Telecom-band quantum interference of frequency-converted photons from remote detuned NV centers
Arian Stolk, Kian L. van der Enden, Marie-Christine Roehsner +15
Entanglement distribution over quantum networks has the promise of realizing fundamentally new technologies. Entanglement between separated quantum processing nodes has been achiev…
