Artificial Satellite Trails Detection Using U-Net Deep Neural Network and Line Segment Detector Algorithm
Xiaohan Chen, Hongrui Gu, Cunshi Wang +6
With the rapid increase in the number of artificial satellites, astronomical imaging is experiencing growing interference. When these satellites reflect sunlight, they produce stre…
SN 2024aecx: a fast-evolving Type IIb supernova with a prominent shock-cooling peak
Qiang Xi, Ning-Chen Sun, David Aguado +36
SN 2024aecx is a nearby (11 Mpc) Type IIb SN discovered within 1 d after explosion. In this paper we report high-cadence photometric (typically 0.51 day) and spec…
FALCO: a Foundation model of Astronomical Light Curves for time dOmain astronomy
Xiaoxiong Zuo, Yihan Tao, Yang Huang +13
Time-domain surveys have advanced astronomical research by revealing diverse variable phenomena, from stellar flares to transient events. The scale and complexity of survey data, a…
The Mini-SiTian Array: Evaluation Camera System
Yu Zhang, Lin Du, Yi Hu +7
The Mini-SiTian project, which is the pathfinder for the SiTian project, utilizes three 30 cm telescopes equipped with commercial CMOS cameras (ZWO ASI6200MM Pro) to simulate large…
The Mini-SiTian Array: first-two-year operation
Min He, Hong Wu, Liang Ge +70
The SiTian project, designed to utilize 60 telescopes distributed across multiple sites in China, is a next-generation time-domain survey initiative. As a pathfinder for the SiTian…
The Mini-SiTian Array: Prospects of Searching for Tidal Disruption Events
Bei-chuan Wang, Jun-jie Jin, Yu Zhang +14
We assess the detectability of tidal disruption events (TDEs) using mock observations from the Mini-SiTian array. We select 100 host galaxy samples from a simulated galaxy catalog…
