Some Relations between Divergence Derivatives and Estimation in Gaussian channels
Jacob Binia
The minimum mean square error of the estimation of a non Gaussian signal where observed from an additive white Gaussian noise channel's output, is analyzed. First, a quite general…
On the Decrease Rate of the Non-Gaussianness of the Sum of Independent Random Variables
Jacob Binia
Several proofs of the monotonicity of the non-Gaussianness (divergence with respect to a Gaussian random variable with identical second order statistics) of the sum of n independen…
On the Rate Distortion Function of Certain Sources with a Proportional Mean-Square Error Distortion Measure
Jacob Binia
New bounds on the rate distortion function of certain non-Gaussian sources, with a proportional-weighted mean-square error (MSE) distortion measure, are given. The growth, g, of th…
On Divergence-Power Inequalities
Jacob Binia
Expressions for (EPI Shannon type) Divergence-Power Inequalities (DPI) in two cases (time-discrete and band-limited time-continuous) of stationary random processes are given. The n…
On The Minimum Mean-Square Estimation Error of the Normalized Sum of Independent Narrowband Waves in the Gaussian Channel
Jacob Binia
The minimum mean-square error of the estimation of a signal where observed from the additive white Gaussian noise (WGN) channel's output, is analyzed. It is assumed that the channe…
