A Search for Propylene Oxide and Glycine in Sagittarius B2 (LMH) and Orion
M. R. Cunningham, P. A. Jones, P. D. Godfrey +17
We have used the Mopra Telescope to search for glycine and the simple chiral molecule propylene oxide in the Sgr B2 (LMH) and Orion KL, in the 3-mm band. We have not detected eithe…
A CH3CN and HCO+ survey towards southern methanol masers associated with star formation
C. R. Purcell, R. Balasubramanyam, M. G. Burton +32
We present the initial results of a 3-mm spectral line survey towards 83 methanol maser selected massive star-forming regions. Here we report observations of the J=5-4 and 6-5 rota…
D/H in a new Lyman limit quasar absorption system at z=3.256 towards PKS1937-1009
N. H. M. Crighton, J. K. Webb, A. Ortiz-Gil +1
We have identified a new Lyman limit absorption system towards PKS1937-1009, with log N(HI)=18.25 +/- 0.02 at z=3.256. It is suitable for measuring D/H, and we find a 68.3% confide…
The Deuterium Abundance in the z=0.7 absorber towards QSO PG1718+4807
Neil H. M. Crighton, John K. Webb, Robert F. Carswell +1
We report a further analysis of the ratio of deuterium to hydrogen (D/H) using HST spectra of the z=0.701 Lyman limit system towards the QSO PG1718+481. Initial analyses of this ab…
