First Measurement of the Double Spin Asymmetry in in the Resonance Region
CLAS Collaboration, R. De Vita
The double spin asymmetry in the reaction has been measured for the first time in the resonance region for four-momentum transfer GeV$^2…
Dependence of Quadrupole Strength in the Transition
CLAS Collaboration, K. Joo, L. C. Smith
Models of baryon structure predict a small quadrupole deformation of the nucleon due to residual tensor forces between quarks or distortions from the pion cloud. Sensitivity to qua…
Observation of exclusive DVCS in polarized electron beam asymmetry measurements
CLAS Collaboration, S. Stepanyan
We report the first results of the beam spin asymmetry measured in the reaction e + p -> e + p + gamma at a beam energy of 4.25 GeV. A large asymmetry with a sin(phi) modulation is…
Relativistic effects and two-body currents in using out-of-plane detection
Z. -L. Zhou, J. Chen, S. -B. Soong +9
Measurements of the reaction were performed using an 800-MeV polarized electron beam at the MIT-Bates Linear Accelerator and with the out-of-plane mag…
