Primordial helium recombination II: two-photon processes
Christopher M. Hirata, Eric R. Switzer
Interpretation of precision measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) will require a detailed understanding of the recombination era, which determines such quantities a…
Primordial helium recombination I: feedback, line transfer, and continuum opacity
Eric R. Switzer, Christopher M. Hirata
Precision measurements of the cosmic microwave background temperature anisotropy on scales will be available in the near future. Successful interpretation of these dat…
Optical Design of the Atacama Cosmology Telescope and the Millimeter Bolometric Array Camera
J. W. Fowler, M. D. Niemack, S. R. Dicker +20
The Atacama Cosmology Telescope is a 6-meter telescope designed to map the Cosmic Microwave Background simultaneously at 145 GHz, 215 GHz, and 280 GHz with arcminute resolution. Ea…
Primordial helium recombination III: Thomson scattering, isotope shifts, and cumulative results
Eric R. Switzer, Christopher M. Hirata
Upcoming precision measurements of the temperature anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) at high multipoles will need to be complemented by a more complete understand…
