Tomographic Simulations of Accretion Disks in Cataclysmic Variables - Flickering and Wind
Fabiola M. A. Ribeiro, Marcos P. Diaz
Both continuum and emission line flickering are phenomena directly associated with the mass accretion process. In this work we simulate accretion disk Doppler maps including the ef…
Emission Line Flickering from the Secondary Star in Cataclysmic Variables? A study of V3885 Sagitarii
Fabiola M. A. Ribeiro, Marcos P. Diaz
Spectrophotometric observations of H-alpha and He I 6678 emission lines of the nova-like Cataclysmic Variable V3885 Sgr are presented and analyzed. The binary orbital period was de…
Tomographic simulations of accretion disks in Cataclysmic Variables - flickering and wind
Fabiola Mariana A. Ribeiro, Marcos P. Diaz
Cataclysmic Variables (CVs) are close binary systems where mass is transferred from a red dwarf star to a white dwarf star via an accretion disk. The flickering is observed as stoc…
A tomographic study of the classical nova RR Pic
Fabiola M. A. Ribeiro, Marcos P. Diaz
We present the results of spectrophotometric observations of the old nova RR Pic performed in two spectral ranges, one centered in the Ha line and other covering Hb and Hg spectral…
