A unique decay process: beta delayed emission of a proton and a neutron by the Li halo nucleus
D. Baye, P. Descouvemont, E. M. Tursunov
The neutron-rich Li halo nucleus is unique among nuclei with known separation energies by its ability to emit a proton and a neutron in a decay process. The branching ra…
Beta delayed emission of a proton by a one-neutron halo nucleus
D. Baye, E. M. Tursunov
Some one-neutron halo nuclei can emit a proton in a beta decay of the halo neutron. The branching ratio towards this rare decay mode is calculated within a two-body potential model…
Breakup reaction models for two- and three-cluster projectiles
D. Baye, P. Capel
Breakup reactions are one of the main tools for the study of exotic nuclei, and in particular of their continuum. In order to get valuable information from measurements, a precise…
Influence of the halo upon angular distributions for elastic scattering and breakup
P. Capel, M. S. Hussein, D. Baye
The angular distributions for elastic scattering and breakup of halo nuclei are analysed using a near-side/far-side decomposition within the framework of the dynamical eikonal appr…
The R-matrix theory
P. Descouvemont, D. Baye
The different facets of the -matrix method are presented pedagogically in a general framework. Two variants have been developed over the years: The "calculable" -matrix…
