Southern Infrared Proper Motion Survey I: Discovery of New High Proper Motion Stars From First Full Hemisphere Scan
N. R. Deacon, N. C. Hambly, J. A. Cooke
We present the first results from the Southern Infrared Proper Motion Survey. Using 2 Micron All Sky Survey data along with that of the SuperCOSMOS sky survey we have been able to…
The Solar Neighbourhood XI: The trigonometric parallax of SCR 1845--6357
Niall R. Deacon, Nigel C. Hambly, Todd J. Henry +3
We present a trigonometric parallax for the nearby star SCR1845--6357, an extremely red high proper motion object discovered by Hambly et al. (2004) and identified via accurate pho…
The Solar Neighborhood XII: Discovery of New High Proper Motion Stars with 1.0"/yr > mu >= 0.4"/yr between Declinations -90 degrees and -47 degrees
John P. Subasavage, Todd J. Henry, Nigel C. Hambly +2
We report the discovery of 141 new high proper motion systems (1.0"/yr > mu >= 0.4"/yr) in the southern sky (Declination = -90 degrees to -47 degrees) brighter than UKST plate R_{5…
The Solar Neighborhood VIII: Discovery of New High Proper Motion Nearby Stars Using the SuperCOSMOS Sky Survey
N. C. Hambly, T. J. Henry, J. Subasavage +2
Five new objects with proper motions between 1.0 arcsec/yr and 2.6 arcsec/yr have been discovered via a new RECONS search for high proper motion stars utilizing the SuperCOSMOS Sky…
