An Imaging Survey for Extrasolar Planets around 45 Close, Young Stars with SDI at the VLT and MMT
Beth A. Biller, Laird M. Close, Elena Masciadri +11
We present the results of a survey of 45 young (<250 Myr), close (<50 pc) stars with the Simultaneous Differential Imager (SDI) implemented at the VLT and the MMT for the direct de…
NACO-SDI direct imaging search for the exoplanet Eps Eri b
Markus Janson, Wolfgang Brandner, Thomas Henning +13
The active K2V star Eri hosts the most nearby known extrasolar planet. With an angular separation of about 1" on average, and an age of a few to several hundred Myrs, Eri b…

Discovery of a Very Nearby Brown Dwarf to the Sun: A Methane Rich Brown Dwarf Companion to the Low Mass Star SCR 1845-6357
B. A. Biller, M. Kasper, L. M. Close +2
We present VLT/NACO SDI images of the very nearby star SCR 1845-6357 (hereafter SCR 1845). SCR 1845 is a recently discovered (Hambly et al. 2004) M8.5 star just 3.85 pc from the su…
