Non-Compact Geometries in 2D Euclidean Quantum Gravity
Jens A. Gesser
This thesis discusses the worldsheet geometries in the (p,q) minimal model coupled to 2D euclidean Quantum Gravity with particular focus on non-compact geometries. We first calcula…
ZZ branes from a worldsheet perspective
Jan Ambjorn, Jens Anders Gesser
We show how non-compact space-time (ZZ branes) emerges as a limit of compact space-time (FZZT branes) for specific ratios between the square of the boundary cosmological constant a…
The nature of ZZ branes
J. Ambjorn, J. A. Gesser
In minimal non-critical string theory we show that the principal (r,s) ZZ brane can be viewed as the basic (1,1) ZZ boundary state tensored with the (r,s) Cardy boundary state. In…
World-sheet dynamics of ZZ branes
Jan Ambjorn, Jens A. Gesser
We show how non-compact space-time (ZZ branes) emerges as a limit of compact space-time (FZZT branes) for specific ratios between the square of the boundary cosmological constant a…
The Geometry of ZZ-branes
J. Ambjorn, S. Arianos, J. A. Gesser +1
We show how non-compact (quantum 2d AdS) space-time emerges for specific ratios of the square of the boundary cosmological constant to the cosmological constant in 2d Euclidean qua…
