Coherent Molecular Optics using Sodium Dimers
J. R. Abo-Shaeer, D. E. Miller, J. K. Chin +3
Coherent molecular optics is performed using two-photon Bragg scattering. Molecules were produced by sweeping an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate through a Feshbach resonance. The s…
Feshbach Resonances in Fermionic Lithium-6
C. H. Schunck, M. W. Zwierlein, C. A. Stan +6
Feshbach resonances in lithium-6 were experimentally studied and theoretically analyzed. In addition to two previously known s-wave resonances, we found three p-wave resonances. Fo…
Observation of Feshbach resonances between two different atomic species
C. A. Stan, M. W. Zwierlein, C. H. Schunck +2
We have observed three Feshbach resonances in collisions between lithium-6 and sodium-23 atoms. The resonances were identified as narrow loss features when the magnetic field was v…
Quantum reflection of atoms from a solid surface at normal incidence
Thomas A. Pasquini, Yong-Il Shin, Christian Sanner +4
We observed quantum reflection of ultracold atoms from the attractive potential of a solid surface. Extremely dilute Bose-Einstein condensates of ^{23}Na, with peak density 10^{11}…
