A kinematic and structural study of young open clusters in the Milky Way Galaxy using Gaia DR3 catalogue
Harsha K. H., Annapurni Subramaniam, S. R. Dhanush +1
We aim to identify the cluster members, estimate cluster properties, study the dynamical state of the clusters as a function of mass, trace the existence of dynamical effects in ma…
AstroSat/UVIT Study of NGC 663: First detection of Be+sdOB systems in a young star cluster
Sneha Nedhath, Sharmila Rani, Annapurni Subramaniam +1
Be stars are rapidly rotating stars surrounded by a disc; however, the origin of these stars remains unclear. Mass and angular momentum transfer in close binaries account for the r…
UVIT Study of the Magellanic Clouds (U-SMAC). III. Hierarchical Star Formation in the Small Magellanic Cloud Regulated by Turbulence
Sipra Hota, Richard de Grijs, Annapurni Subramaniam
The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, is an irregular dwarf galaxy exhibiting evidence of recent and ongoing star formation. We performed a spatial…
Unraveling the kinematic and morphological evolution of the Small Magellanic Cloud
S. R. Dhanush, A. Subramaniam, S. Subramanian
We modeled the kinematics of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) by analyzing the proper motion (PM) from Gaia DR3 of nine different stellar populations, which include young main sequ…
