Advantage of Warm Starts for Electron-Phonon Systems on Quantum Computers
Arnab Adhikary, S. E. Skelton, Alberto Nocera +1
Simulating electron-phonon interactions on quantum computers remains challenging, with most algorithmic effort focused on Hamiltonian simulation and circuit optimization. In this w…
von Neumann measurement and quantum phase estimation of block-encoded Hamiltonians
S. E. Skelton
We review how to use von Neumann's measurement procedure to estimate a phase, using an efficient Hamiltonian simulation subroutine acts on a block-encoded Hamiltonian. We show that…
Prospects of Quantum Error Mitigation for Quantum Signal Processing
Ugnė Liaubaitė, S. E. Skelton
Quantum error mitigation (QEM) protocols have provably exponential bounds on the cost scaling; however, exploring which regimes QEM can recover usable results is still of sizable i…
Beyond asymptotic scaling: Comparing functional quantum linear solvers
Andreea-Iulia Lefterovici, Michael Perk, Debora Ramacciotti +3
Solving systems of linear equations is a key subroutine in many quantum algorithms. In the last 15 years, many quantum linear solvers (QLS) have been developed, competing to achiev…
The Hitchhiker's Guide to QSP pre-processing
S. E. Skelton
Quantum signal processing (QSP) relies on a historically costly pre-processing step, "QSP-processing/phase-factor finding." QSP-processing is now a developed topic within quantum a…
