Constraints on Axion-Like Particles from VERITAS Observations of a Flaring Radio Galaxy in the Perseus Cluster
C. B. Adams, A. Archer, P. Bangale +62
Background: Axion-like particles (ALPs) are hypothetical particles that emerge in numerous theoretical extensions to the Standard Model. Their coupling to electromagnetic field imp…
Constraints on the X-ray and Very High Energy -ray Flux from Supernova Remnant W44
A. Archer, P. Bangale, J. T. Bartkoske +55
Observations of GeV gamma-ray emission from the well-studied mixed-morphology supernova remnant (SNR) W44 by Fermi-LAT and AGILE imply that it is a site of significant cosmic ray a…
An in-depth study of Gamma rays from the Starburst Galaxy M 82 with VERITAS
Atreya Acharyya, Colin B. Adams, Priyadarshini Bangale +60
Assuming Galactic cosmic rays originate in supernovae and the winds of massive stars, starburst galaxies should produce very-high-energy (VHE; E100 GeV) gamma-ray emission via t…
Possible correlation between unabsorbed hard X-rays and neutrinos in radio-loud and radio-quiet AGN
Emma Kun, Imre Bartos, Julia Becker Tjus +5
The first high-energy neutrino source identified by IceCube was a blazar -- an active galactic nucleus driving a relativistic jet towards Earth. Jets driven by accreting black hole…
