Recovering Signals in CoRoT Mission (RSCoRoT): I. Short Period Variable Stars
C. E. Ferreira Lopes, A. Papageorgiou, B. L. Canto Martins +8
The CoRoT (Convection, Rotation, and planetary Transits) mission still holds a large trove of high-quality, underused light curves with excellent signal-to-noise and continuous cov…
Multiband analysis of the O'Connell effect in 14 eclipsing binaries
D. Flores Cabrera, M. Catelan, A. Papageorgiou +1
The O'Connell effect is a phenomenon in eclipsing binary (EB) systems that consists of unequal maxima in a light curve when out of eclipse. Despite being known for decades and with…
Multiband Embeddings of Light Curves
I. Becker, P. Protopapas, M. Catelan +1
In this work, we propose a novel ensemble of recurrent neural networks (RNNs) that considers the multiband and non-uniform cadence without having to compute complex features. Our p…
High-cadence stellar variability studies of RR Lyrae stars with DECam: New multi-band templates
K. Baeza-Villagra, N. Rodriguez-Segovia, M. Catelan +6
We present the most extensive set to date of high-quality RR Lyrae light curve templates in the griz bands, based on time-series observations of the Dark Energy Camera Plane Survey…
