Complementarity-based complementarity: the choice of mutually unbiased observables shapes quantum uncertainty relations
Laura Serino, Giovanni Chesi, Benjamin Brecht +3
Quantum uncertainty relations impose fundamental limits on the joint knowledge that can be acquired from complementary observables: perfect knowledge of a quantum state in one basi…
Detecting Markovianity of Quantum Processes via Recurrent Neural Networks
Angela Rosy Morgillo, Massimiliano F. Sacchi, Chiara Macchiavello
We present a novel methodology utilizing Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) to classify Markovian and non-Markovian quantum processes, leveraging time series data derived from Choi s…
Quantum optical classifier with superexponential speedup
Simone Roncallo, Angela Rosy Morgillo, Chiara Macchiavello +2
Classification is a central task in deep learning algorithms. Usually, images are first captured and then processed by a sequence of operations, of which the artificial neuron repr…
Number of bits returned by a quantum estimation
Xi Lu, Wojciech Górecki, Chiara Macchiavello +1
We give two upper bounds to the mutual information in arbitrary quantum estimation strategies. The first is based on some simple Fourier properties of the estimation apparatus. The…
