Radiative neutron capture cross section of Pu measured at n_TOF-EAR1 in the unresolved resonance region up to 600 keV
J. Lerendegui-Marco, C. Guerrero, E. Mendoza +133
Accurate neutron capture cross sections are essential for the design and operation of fast reactors using MOX fuels. For Pu, the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) recommends 8--1…
Towards a new generation of solid total-energy detectors for neutron-capture time-of-flight experiments with intense neutron beams
J. Balibrea-Correa, V. Babiano-Suarez, J. Lerendegui-Marco +134
Challenging neutron-capture cross-section measurements of small cross sections and samples with a very limited number of atoms require high-flux time-of-flight facilities. In turn,…
Measurement and analysis of the Cm and Cm neutron capture cross-sections at the EAR2 of the n TOF facility
V. Alcayne, A. Kimura, E. Mendoza +130
The Cm(n,) and Cm(n,) cross-sections have been measured at the Experimental Area 2 (EAR2) of the n_TOF facility at CERN with three CD detectors. This…
New insights on fission of U induced by high energy neutrons from a new measurement at CERN n\_TOF
Alice Manna, Elisa Pirovano, the n\_TOF Collaboration
The U(n,f) reaction cross section was measured relative to neutron-proton elastic scattering for the first time in the energy region from 10 MeV to 440 MeV at the CERN n\_T…
