Symbol Distributions in Semantic Communications: A Source-Channel Equilibrium Perspective
Hanju Yoo, Dongha Choi, Songkuk Kim +2
Semantic communication systems often use end-to-end neural networks to map input data into continuous symbols. These symbols, which are essentially neural network features, have fi…
The Tri-Hybrid MIMO Architecture
Robert W. Heath, Joseph Carlson, Nitish Vikas Deshpande +3
We present an evolution of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communications known as the tri-hybrid MIMO architecture. In this framework, the traditional operations of…
Embracing Reconfigurable Antennas in the Tri-hybrid MIMO Architecture for 6G and Beyond
Miguel Rodrigo Castellanos, Siyun Yang, Chan-Byoung Chae +1
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication has led to immense enhancements in data rates and efficient spectrum management. The evolution of MIMO, though, has been accompa…
Bridging Neural Networks and Wireless Systems with MIMO-OFDM Semantic Communications
Hanju Yoo, Dongha Choi, Yonghwi Kim +4
Semantic communications aim to enhance transmission efficiency by jointly optimizing source coding, channel coding, and modulation. While prior research has demonstrated promising…
