The Orbit of the Eclipsing X-ray Pulsar EXO 1722-363
Thomas W. J. Thompson, John A. Tomsick, J. J. M. in 't Zand +2
With recent and archival Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) X-ray measurements of the heavily obscured X-ray pulsar EXO 1722-363 (IGR J17252-3616), we carried out a pulse timing an…
Multi-wavelength observations of the Galactic black hole transient 4U1543-47 during outburst decay: state transitions and jet contribution
E. Kalemci, J. A. Tomsick, M. M. Buxton +5
Multiwavelength observations of Galactic black hole (GBH) transients during the state transitions and in the low/hard state may provide detailed information on the accretion struct…
HST Observations of SGR 0526-66: New Constraints on Accretion and Magnetar Models
D. L. Kaplan, S. R. Kulkarni, M. H. van Kerkwijk +5
Soft Gamma-ray Repeaters (SGRs) are among the most enigmatic sources known today. Exhibiting huge X- and Gamma-ray bursts and flares, as well as soft quiescent X-ray emission, thei…
Evolution of spectral parameters during a pre-eclipse dip of Her X-1
B. Stelzer, J. Wilms, R. Staubert +2
We report on a pre-eclipse dip of the X-ray binary Her X-1 observed by the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) in July 1996. We present the evolution of the spectral parameters in t…
