Quantum Throughput: Quantifying quantum communication with homodyne measurements
Nathan Killoran, Hauke Häseler, Norbert Lütkenhaus
Quantum communication relies on optical implementations of channels, memories and repeaters. In the absence of perfect devices, a minimum requirement on real-world devices is that…
Quantum benchmarks for the storage or transmission of quantum light from minimal resources
Hauke Häseler, Norbert Lütkenhaus
We investigate several recently published benchmark criteria for storage or transmission of continuous-variable quantum information. A comparison reveals that criteria based on a G…
Probing the quantumness of channels with mixed states
Hauke Häseler, Norbert Lütkenhaus
We present an alternative approach to the derivation of benchmarks for quantum channels, such as memory or teleportation channels. Using the concept of effective entanglement and t…
Testing Quantum Devices: Practical Entanglement Verification in Bipartite Optical Systems
Hauke Häseler, Tobias Moroder, Norbert Lütkenhaus
We present a method to test quantum behavior of quantum information processing devices, such as quantum memories, teleportation devices, channels and quantum key distribution proto…
