Impact of Rotation on the Evolution of Low-Mass Stars
D. Brown, M. Salaris, S. Cassisi +1
High precision photometry and spectroscopy of low-mass stars reveal a variety of properties standard stellar evolution cannot predict. Rotation, an essential ingredient of stellar…

The effect of different opacity data and chemical element mixture on the Petersen diagram
P. Lenz, A. A. Pamyatnykh, M. Breger
The Petersen diagram is a frequently used tool to constrain model parameters such as metallicity of radial double-mode pulsators. In this diagram the period ratio of the radial fir…
On the seismic age of the Sun
G. Houdek, D. O. Gough
We use low-degree acoustic modes obtained by the BiSON to estimate the main-sequence age of the Sun. The calibration is accomplished by linearizing the deviations from a…
Interacting Convection Zones
L. J. Silvers, M. R. E. Proctor
We present results from simulations to examine how the separation between two convectively unstable layers affect their interaction. We show that two convectively unstable layers r…
