Fast-rotating A- and F-type stars with Hα emissions in NGC 3532, candidate UV-dim stars?
Chenyu He, Chengyuan Li, Gang Li
Extended main-sequence stars that are dim in the ultraviolet passbands of Hubble Space Telescope (UV-dim stars) are found in several young and intermediate-age Magellanic Cloud sta…
Asteroseismic Signatures of Core Magnetism and Rotation in Hundreds of Low-Luminosity Red Giants
Emily J. Hatt, J. M. Joel Ong, Martin B. Nielsen +6
Red Giant stars host solar-like oscillations which have mixed character, being sensitive to conditions both in the outer convection zone and deep within the interior. The propertie…
TIC441725813: A new bright hybrid sdB pulsator with differential core/envelope rotation
Wenchao Su, Stéphane Charpinet, Marilyn Latour +3
We present the detailed analysis of a new hybrid (p- and g-mode) sdB pulsator, TIC441725813 (TYC 4427-1021-1), discovered and monitored by TESS over 670 days. The TESS light curves…
Asteroseismic measurement of core and envelope rotation rates for 2006 red giant branch stars
Gang Li, Sebastien Deheuvels, Jerome Ballot
Tens of thousands of red giant stars in the Kepler data exhibit solar-like oscillations. Their oscillations enable us to study the internal physics from core to surface, such as di…
