NEST3D: A High-Resolution Multimodal Dataset of Sociable Weaver Tree Nests
Constanza A. Molina Catricheo, Simon Boeder, Ting-Jia Guo +6
Sociable weaver nests function as complex ecological structures offering thermoregulatory microhabitats and sustaining diverse species; however, datasets used in prior studies lack…
3D LULC classification using multispectral LiDAR and deep learning: current and prospective schemes
Narges Takhtkeshha, Aldino Rizaldy, Markus Hollaus +3
Land Use Land Cover (LULC) classification is essential for national 3D mapping, geospatial analysis, and sustainable planning. Multispectral (MS) LiDAR provides synchronized spatia…
Deep Learning Meets Satellite Images -- An Evaluation on Handcrafted and Learning-based Features for Multi-date Satellite Stereo Images
Shuang Song, Luca Morelli, Xinyi Wu +3
A critical step in the digital surface models(DSM) generation is feature matching. Off-track (or multi-date) satellite stereo images, in particular, can challenge the performance o…
Multi-tiling Neural Radiance Field (NeRF) -- Geometric Assessment on Large-scale Aerial Datasets
Ningli Xu, Rongjun Qin, Debao Huang +1
Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) offer the potential to benefit 3D reconstruction tasks, including aerial photogrammetry. However, the scalability and accuracy of the inferred geometr…
