Identifying Kilonovae in the Presence of Optical Afterglow for the Wide Field Survey Telescope
Huan Yang, Zhengyan Liu, Liang-Duan Liu +2
Identifying kilonovae associated with binary neutron star mergers is often complicated by the presence of a dominant synchrotron afterglow. In this work, we evaluate the performanc…
Fast Radio Burst Cosmology: Hubble Tension and Dark Energy
Fayin Wang, Xuandong Jia, Daohong Gao +1
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are luminous, millisecond-duration extragalactic radio transients that have emerged as a powerful, complementary cosmological probe for investigating the l…
Overview of Ground-based Wide-Angle Cameras array
Liping Xin, Lei Huang, Hongbo Cai +25
As one of the key ground-based facilities of the Chinese-French SVOM mission, the main scientific objectives of the Ground-based Wide Angle Camera array (GWAC) are to detect prompt…
AT 2024wpp: the most luminous fast-evolving optical transient linked to the merger explosion of a black-hole binary
Jialian Liu, Bao Wang, Xiaofeng Wang +48
Fast blue optical transients (FBOTs) represent one of the most exotic astrophysical transients, exhibiting unusually strong emission across X-ray, optical, and radio wavelengths. T…
