Accuracy of Star Cluster Parameters from Integrated UBVRI Photometry
D. Narbutis, A. Bridzius, R. Stonkute +1
We study the capability of the UBVRI photometric system to quantify star clusters in terms of age, metallicity, and color excess by their integrated photometry. The well known age-…
A Survey of Compact Star Clusters in the S-W Field of the M31 Disk. Structural Parameters. II
I. Sableviciute, V. Vansevicius, K. Kodaira +3
The King and the EFF (Elson, Fall & Freeman 1987) analytical models are employed to determine the structural parameters of star clusters using an 1-D surface brightness profile fit…
A Survey of Compact Star Clusters in the South-West Field of the M31 Disk. Structural Parameters
I. Sableviciute, V. Vansevicius, K. Kodaira +3
We present structural parameters for 51 compact star clusters from the survey of star clusters conducted in the South-West field of the M31 disk by Kodaira et al. (2004). Structura…
Radiative transfer problem in dusty galaxies: photometric effects of dusty spiral arms
D. Semionov, K. Kodaira, R. Stonkute +1
We study the effects of dusty spiral arms on the photometric properties of disk galaxies using a series of 2D radiative transfer models, approximating the arms with axially symmetr…
