Strong nanophotonic quantum squeezing exceeding 3.5 dB in a foundry-compatible Kerr microresonator
Yichen Shen, Ping-Yen Hsieh, Sashank Kaushik Sridhar +4
Squeezed light, with its quantum noise reduction capabilities, has emerged as a powerful resource in quantum information processing and precision metrology. To reach noise reductio…
Quantized topological phases beyond square lattices in Floquet synthetic dimensions
Samarth Sriram, Sashank Kaushik Sridhar, Avik Dutt
Topological effects manifest in a variety of lattice geometries. While square lattices, due to their simplicity, have been used for models supporting nontrivial topology, several e…
Trapped-ion quantum simulation of the Fermi-Hubbard model as a lattice gauge theory using hardware-aware native gates
Dhruv Srinivasan, Alex Beyer, Daiwei Zhu +8
The Fermi-Hubbard model (FHM) is a simple yet rich model of strongly interacting electrons with complex dynamics and a variety of emerging quantum phases. These properties make it…
Topological argument for robustness of coherent states in quantum optics
Saumya Biswas, Amrit De, Avik Dutt
Coherent states, being the closest analog to classical states of wave systems, are well known to possess special properties that set them apart from most other quantum optical stat…
