Primordial magnetogenesis from a supercooled dynamical electroweak phase transition
Martin Arteaga Tupia, Anish Ghoshal, Alessandro Strumia
Observations of -ray from blazars suggest the presence of magnetic fields in the intergalactic medium, which may require a primordial origin. Intense enough primordial magnetic…
Solving the strong CP problem in string-inspired theories with modular invariance
Ferruccio Feruglio, Antonio Marrone, Alessandro Strumia +1
We show that solutions to the strong CP problem based on modular invariance can be extended to incorporate features that appear in string compactifications: quarks with mostly posi…
Baryogenesis from cosmological CP breaking
Mateusz Duch, Alessandro Strumia, Arsenii Titov
We show that baryogenesis can arise from the cosmological evolution of a scalar field that governs CP-violating parameters, such as the Yukawa couplings and the theta terms of the…
Solving the strong CP problem
Alessandro Strumia
I briefly review solutions to the strong CP problem based on axions, parity invariance, CP-invariance, and present a new idea based on CP as part of a spontaneously broken flavour…
Optical gravitational waves as signals of Gravitationally-Decaying Particles
Giacomo Landini, Alessandro Strumia
Long-lived heavy particles present during the big bang could have a decay channel opened by gravitons. Such decays can produce gravitational waves with large enough abundance to be…
