First-Year Spectroscopy for the SDSS-II Supernova Survey
Chen Zheng, Roger W. Romani, Masao Sako +77
This paper presents spectroscopy of supernovae discovered in the first season of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey-II Supernova Survey. This program searches for and measures multi-band…
A Measurement of the Rate of type-Ia Supernovae at Redshift 0.1 from the First Season of the SDSS-II Supernova Survey
Benjamin Dilday, R. Kessler, J. A. Frieman +50
We present a measurement of the rate of type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) from the first of three seasons of data from the SDSS-II Supernova Survey. For this measurement, we include 17 S…
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey-II Supernova Survey: Search Algorithm and Follow-up Observations
Masao Sako, B. Bassett, A. Becker +47
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey-II Supernova Survey has identified a large number of new transient sources in a 300 sq. deg. region along the celestial equator during its first two se…
A Study of the Type Ia/IIn Supernova 2005gj from X-ray to the Infrared: Paper I
J. L. Prieto, P. M. Garnavich, M. M. Phillips +53
We present extensive ugrizYHJK photometry and optical spectroscopy of SN 2005gj obtained by the SDSS-II and CSP Supernova Projects, which give excellent coverage during the first 1…
