Dynamic morphing of non-Euclidean active shells enabled by flutter under a steady stimulus
Roberto Marchello, Pietro Maria Santucci, Giovanni Noselli
Synthetic active surfaces are usually designed to attain a prescribed static configuration, with dynamic shape changes typically requiring modulation of the actuation. We show that…
The JWST and ALMA view of local dwarf Pox 186: Evidence of stripped binaries driving a hard radiation field and little cold molecular gas resulting in high star-formation efficiency
Nimisha Kumari, Renske Smit, Claus Leitherer +5
We present a JWST mid-infrared (MIR) view of Pox 186, one of the best local analogs of reionization-era galaxies based on its extreme properties in the ultraviolet, optical, and fa…
NOEMA probes the [CII] and dust content in a 2175Å UV Bump Galaxy at
Katherine Ormerod, Renske Smit, Joris Witstok +5
The detection of the Å UV bump at challenges existing models of dust formation, suggesting rapid formation of small carbonaceous dust grains within the first billion ye…
REBELS-25: multi-phase morphology and kinematics at z = 7.31
Lucie E. Rowland, Hiddo S. B. Algera, Jacqueline Hodge +23
We present a spatially resolved, multi-wavelength study of the massive, star-forming galaxy REBELS-25 at a redshift of . We combine new high-resolution ALMA [O III]88m o…
