Next-generation interferometry with gauge-invariant linear optical scatterers
Christopher R. Schwarze, Anthony D. Manni, David S. Simon +2
Measurement technology employing optical interference phenomena such as a fringe pattern or frequency shift has been evolving for more than a century. The systems are being designe…
Scalar computational primitives with perturbative phase interferometry
Christopher R. Schwarze, Anthony D. Manni, David S. Simon +1
We describe how weak phase modulations applied to classical coherent light in specially modified linear interferometers can be used to perform primitive computational tasks. Instea…
Efficient Inverse Design of Plasmonic Patch Nanoantennas using Deep Learning
Saeed Hemayat, Sina Moayed Baharlou, Alexander Sergienko +1
Plasmonic nanoantennas with suitable far-field characteristics are of huge interest for utilization in optical wireless links, inter-/intra-chip communications, LiDARs, and photoni…
Tunable linear-optical phase amplification
Christopher R. Schwarze, David S. Simon, Abdoulaye Ndao +1
We combine lossless, phase-only transformations with fully-transmitting linear-optical scatterers to define the principle of linear-optical phase amplification. This enables a phys…
