Coherent perfect absorption and laser modes in a cylindrical structure of conjugate metamaterials
Yangyang Fu, Yadong Xu, Huanyang Chen +1
In this work, we theoretically find that coherent perfect absorption (CPA) and laser modes can be realized in a two-dimensional cylindrical structure composed of conjugate metamate…
Negative refraction based on purely imaginary conjugate metamaterials
Yangyang Fu, Yadong Xu, Huanyang Chen
By introducing a new mechanism based on purely imaginary conjugate metamaterials (PICMs), we reveal that bidirectional negative refraction and planar focusing can be obtained using…
Coherent perfect absorber and laser in purely imaginary conjugate metamaterials
Yangyang Fu, Yanyan Cao, Steven A. Cummer +2
Conjugate metamaterials, in which the permittivity and the permeability are complex conjugates of each other, possess the elements of loss and gain simultaneously. By employing a c…
Self-focusing and the Talbot effect in conformal transformation optics
Xiangyang Wang, Huanyang Chen, Hui Liu +3
Transformation optics (TO) has been used to propose various novel optical devices. With the help of metamaterials, several intriguing designs, such as invisibility cloaks, have bee…
