Far beyond the Sun: III. The magnetic cycle of Horologii
Julián D. Alvarado-Gómez, Gaitee A. J. Hussain, Eliana M. Amazo-Gómez +6
We present a comprehensive investigation of the magnetic cycle of the young, active solar analogue Horologii ( Hor) based on intensive spectropolarimetric monitoring using H…
Comparing the Sun to Sun-like stars. On the importance of addressing faculae/spot domination
Konstantin Herbst, Eliana M. Amazo-Gómez, Athanasios Papaioannou
Whether the Sun is an ordinary G-type star is still an open scientific question. Stellar surveys by Kepler and TESS, however, revealed that Sun-like stars tend to show much stronge…
The discovery space of ELT-ANDES. Stars and stellar populations
Ian U. Roederer, Julián D. Alvarado-Gómez, Carlos Allende Prieto +31
The ArmazoNes high Dispersion Echelle Spectrograph (ANDES) is the optical and near-infrared high-resolution echelle spectrograph envisioned for the European Extremely Large Telesco…
Far beyond the Sun: II. Probing the stellar magnetism of the young Sun ι Horologii from the photosphere to its corona
E. M. Amazo-Gómez, J. D. Alvarado-Gómez, K. Poppenhaeger +14
A comprehensive multi-wavelength campaign has been carried out to probe stellar activity and variability in the young Sun-like star -Horologii. We present the results from long-…
