Non-isothermal stress relaxation in conventional and high-entropy metallic glasses and its relationship to themixing and excess entropy
G. V. Afonin, S. L. Scherbakov, R. A. Konchakov +4
We performed calorimetric and torsion stress relaxation measurements upon linear heating of six conventional and high-entropy metallic glasses with the mixing entropy ΔSmix ranging…
Relationship of structural disorder and stability of supercooled liquid state with glass-forming ability of metallic glasses
J. B. Cui, R. A. Konchakov, G. V. Afonin +5
We performed calorimetric studies of 26 metallic glasses and calculated the excess entropy and excess enthalpy with respect to their counterpart crystals. On this basis, we introdu…
On the nature of the glass transition in metallic glasses after deep relaxation
A. S. Makarov, G. V. Afonin, R. A. Konchakov +3
We performed parallel study of calorimetric and high-frequency shear modulus behavior of Zr-based metallic glasses after deep relaxation just below the glass transition. It is show…
Relationship between the shear moduli and defect-induced structural relaxation ofhigh-entropy metallic glasses
Andrey Makarov, Evgenia Gonchrova, Jichao Qiao +2
We performed high-frequency shear modulus and calorimetry measurements on seven high-entropy metallic glasses (HEMGs) in the initial, relaxed and crystalline states. It is shown th…
